Royal Enfield extends warranty

In order to strengthen its trust and goodwill among its existing and prospective customers, Royal Enfield has extended the standard warranty on all of its motorcycles by up to 2 years and 20,000 kms. Till date, the company used to give a standard warranty of 1 year on its motorcycles. However, unlike many other automobile manufacturers, Royal Enfield is still not offering an extended warranty on the motorcycles.

The news will certainly boost up the sales of Royal Enfield, which already is enjoying a good run in the Indian market with sales increasing month after month. The new warranty scheme will certainly help the prospective customers to be assured of the enhanced build quality and reliability of the motorcycles of Royal Enfield.

In other news, the company has got a new President in the face of Rudratej Singh, who will be handling the comapny's product and business strategies as well as look after the brand's sales and after-sales divisions globally. Before joining Royal Enffield, Rudratej Singh was appointed as the Vice-President of Unilever's HPC and Food Marketing operations in Singapore. Commenting on the new addition in Royal Enfield family, Siddhartha Lal, managing director and CEO, Royal Enfield, says, "Rudy joins Royal Enfield after spearheading global brands and businesses for almost two decades across emerging and developed markets. His extensive experience in marketing mix development and managing brand equity along with the rich global perspective will help us in our objective of becoming leaders in the mid-sized motorcycling segment. I welcome Rudy to the Royal Enfield family and look forward to working closely with him to make Royal Enfield a truly global brand.”
