Cult bike maker Royal Enfield has witnessed a jump of 52 per cent in its March 2016 sales. In total (export and domestic), the company has sold 51,320 units in last month, compared to 33,679 units in March 2015.
Domestic sales have registered a growth of 52 per cent. RE sold 50,059 units in March 2016 against 32,854 units in the same month last year. Exports witnessed a 53 per cent increase in sales as the manufacturer sold 1,261 units in last month compared to 825 units in March 2015.
On this splendid achievement, Rudratej Singh, President Royal Enfield said, “Reaching sales of over fifty thousand motorcycles in a single month is a significant milestone for Royal Enfield. We approximately manufactured a similar number of motorcycles in 2010 that goes on to show our focus and hard work that we have put in all these years. This experience has created strong demand for our motorcycles that continues to grow our order books."Royal Enfield has recently launched the Himalayan, a purpose-built adventure-tourer that is priced at Rs 1,73,676 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. Due to the BS3 ban, the company could not sell the two-wheeler in Delhi region as registrations would not be accepted. After the recent lift, prospects have started coming forward for booking the Himalayan.
