Cult bike maker Royal Enfield launched the Rumbler 500 in the Indonesian market at a price of RP 82,000,000 ( Rs. 3.98 lakh). The bike was showcased at the newly opened Royal Enfield showroom in West Pejaten in Jakarta. The Rumbler 500 is a renamed version of the Indian Thunderbird 500.
Royal Enfield Rumbler 500 comes powered by a 500cc engine which churns out 27.6 PS of power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. The Rumbler 500 gets digital meter console and LED tail lamp. The bike also gets 20-litre fuel tank. In the Indonesian market, the motorcycle is available in three black shades.
Rudratej Singh, president of Royal Enfield, said, "Rumbler 500 is suitable for driving long distances to reach, ergonomics, model, excellent braking power, visibility driving at night as well as the ability of its trunk."
To mark its presence in the Indonesian market, Royal Enfield has opened its first showroom in Jakarta. The manufacturer currently sells Continental GT, Classic 350 and 500, Bullet 500 EFI and Bullet 350 in the country. The company has opened the outlet in collaboration with PT Distributor Motor. The showroom will also take care of the after sales service of the company.
Last year, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer started its operation in Thailand. The company started its retail operations with General Auto Supply (GA) at Bangkok. General Auto Supply will look after the sales and services of Royal Enfield in Thailand. The two-wheeler manufacturer has also started its operations in international cities like London, Madrid, Paris, Dubai, Bogota and Medellin.
